My fondest memories of Wally are the unplanned moments with him on the phone, sharing memories of his great career and he giving me guidance on jazz theory. I would be at the keyboard in my home and he would unexpectantly begin tutelage on chords, progression and composition. You could tell he enjoyed teaching others. It was if I had my own Masterclass. Ava was always in the background giving input as well. I wish I could thank him today for those moments. ❤
